Tabs, the assistant and agents
Groups by meaning
Tabs gather into coloured groups by topic. A group folds up to its label, and two tabs can stand side by side. ⌃Tab takes you back to the one you were just on.
The ⌘E line
The assistant is one line. It appears under the selected text, at the field with the cursor, or at the bottom of the window — and never on its own.
Agents
Claude Code, Codex or another ACP agent runs on your computer. It opens tabs in the right group, reads pages and sums them up.

What to know
- Ads
Filter lists become WebKit’s own rules. A blocked request never leaves, and the site’s script never runs.
- Your choice of model
On the device, in Apple’s cloud, or your own: Claude, Codex. A page goes to a model only when you ask.
- Bookmarks
A bookmark is a readable copy of the page on disk. You find it by what it was about, not by its title.
- Russian Trusted CA
Sites under the Ministry of Digital Development’s certificate open, and the trust stays inside the browser rather than the whole system. It is off until you turn it on.
- Profiles
Each profile has its own cookies, history, bookmarks, extensions, tabs and groups.
